Bhoomika Tiwari studied public policy at the Hertie School with a specialisation in public management. Prior to joining the Hertie School, she gained over three years of experience as a corporate lawyer in the private sector and holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law (Hons) from the National Law Institute University, India. As part of Hertie’s Professional Year programme, Bhoomika spent nine months working with German development agency GIZ’s Nigerian Energy Support Programme in Abuja, and continued to support the programme after returning to her studies. In this role, she provided policy and legal advice on several topics including tender processes for photovoltaic energy systems and the introduction of public funds for unlocking private investment in the Nigerian energy sector.
