Fiorentina García Miramón has five years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science. Her research focuses on the political economy of education, the German dual education system and budget policies. She has worked for a Mexican think tank, the Economic and Budgetary Research Center (CIEP), to improve fiscal transparency and public expenditures and as a consultant for the German development agency (GIZ), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Global Initiative for Fiscal Transparency (GIFT). During her studies at the Hertie School, Fiorentina was a research assistant in the Educational Governance team. In 2016, she founded Tec-Check, the first online consumer protection agency in Mexico. She completed the Mexico City Marathon three times.
