Frederik Theilingholds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin. At the Hertie School, he focused on electricity systems and governance of artificial intelligence. His professional experience includes working for the Vice-President of the German Bundestag as a policy advisor and speechwriter, for the German Trade Union Confederation (DGB) in the Economic Policy Department as well as for the German Energy Agency (dena). He currently works at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). In his master’s thesis, he combines his interest for sustainability and industrial policy as he examines what representatives of German trade unions think about which policy instruments should be used to de-carbonise the German automotive industry.
