Helene Kuchta spent most of her life in South East Asia, which shaped her perspective on European as well as German politics. Influenced by this, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in European Studies at Maastricht University, where she graduated with honours. After completing an exchange semester at Tallinn University and an internship at the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Moscow, Helene moved to Berlin in 2017. Here, she worked for the offices of Members of the German Bundestag in two legislative periods. During this time, she enrolled at the Hertie School with the aim of specialising in security and sustainability. Complementing this, she completed her Professional Year at BwConsulting – the in-house consultancy of the German Bundeswehr, which was also involved as a practice partner in her master's thesis.
