Jennifer Vaz pursued the public policy programme at the Hertie School, where she developed public management and quantitative skills working with R. Curious about how health can be improved with effective urban planning policies, she decided to focus her thesis on the subject. Prior to transitioning to the field of policy, she worked in Dubai, assisting the CEO of a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company while also working in its finance department. Furthermore, she has worked in the anti-money-laundering division of Deutsche Bank in India, which is where she first gained her research and investigative skills. Born and raised in Muscat, Oman, she holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialisation in finance from St. Aloysius College, Mangalore.
