Jessica Benne specialised in economics and public management during her studies in public policy at the Hertie School, with a semester abroad at Bocconi University. Prior to attending the Hertie School, she completed her Bachelor in Communications with a minor in psychology at the American University of Paris where she graduated cum laude and spent a semester abroad at Jacobs University. Her professional experience includes working as a journalist at CNN, covering matters relating to foreign and European affairs as well as working on- and off-air at Deutsche Welle in the Latin American department. Over the course of her degree, she worked as a Policy and Market Research Analyst at Usercentrics, a data policy software-as-a-service (SaaS) firm. Career-wise she is interested in policy, communication and current affairs.
