Jose Diaz Mendoza holds a Master of Public Policy with a concentration in policy analysis and a focus on public finance and development. Prior to joining the Hertie School, he completed a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola in Peru. He also has a Certification in State Capacity Building from the Harvard Kennedy School. Jose has more than seven years of work experience as a leader and team member at the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Production in Peru, as well as in development institutions, including at the German Development Agency GIZ in the African Union Commission. He has experienced with the design, implementation and evaluation of policy reforms, as well as with managing innovative and service delivery projects. He is interested in collaborating with initiatives seeking to maximise public value.
