José María Vicente specialised in finance and trade, as well as data science programming during his studies at the Hertie School. Prior to joining the Hertie School, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. Most recently, he worked for the consultancy mayato, helping launch its geodata division. His responsibilities involved the development of machine learning models, predicting demographic data for every square kilometre area in Europe, as well as the preparation of data for successive analyses. Moreover, he assisted with the preparation of online courses commissioned by Bitkom, Germany’s digital association, representing the interests of the digital economy.
