Joshua Aje holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Belgorod State University in Russia. After his bachelor’s programme, he was awarded the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Helmut-Schmidt scholarship to study at the Hertie School. Joshua’s study focus at the Hertie school was on policy analysis, quantitative methods and data science. His is interested in using his data skills to tackle high social impact problems. In addition to his studies, he did grant writing for WEbuilding (a Berlin-based NGO), worked as a data analyst for the Water Integrity Network (WIN), a Berlin-based organisation that tackles corruption in the water sector of developing countries, and also co-led the Hertie Data Science Society.
