Anton Kleihues specialised in public management and the digitalisation of the public sector during his studies at the Hertie School. Before joining the Hertie School, he completed a Bachelor of European Studies at Maastricht University. His professional experience includes assisting a member of the German Bundestag on matters of energy production and transformation, conceptualising a successful election campaign with a consultancy focussed on political communication and designing a communication strategy for the Berlin State Department for Health and Social Affairs (LAGeSo) during its crisis in 2015/2016. Moreover, he worked as a graduate research assistant for Atlantik-Brücke, Storymachine, Das 18te Kamel & Komplizen and the public sector consultancy PD-Berater der öffentlichen Hand.
