Lourena Mangaban is an attorney who focused on future of work, social policies, human rights and international law during her studies at the Hertie School. She holds a Juris Doctor degree and Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of the Philippines. Lourena has six years of professional experience. She was a consultant to a member of the Congress of the Philippines, providing assistance in drafting legislative bills and participating in committee hearings. She also worked as an infrastructure lawyer for the Public-Private Partnership Center in the Philippines, handling multi-billion-peso projects. Furthermore, she was a litigation lawyer who successfully presented arguments in court. With determined advocacy of ensuring access to justice, she regularly provided pro bono services to indigent clients.
