Nathan Shuftan holds a Master of Public Policy from the Hertie School, with a concentration in policy analysis. His professional experience includes research for a World Health Organization (WHO) and European Union (EU) project on emerging policy responses to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as a graduate fellowship at the RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service. He also completed a policy research internship at the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa. Furthermore, he taught English at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague and in Seoul, South Korea. Nathan has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Illinois. He is interested in opportunities with foundations, think-and-do tanks and the private sector, as well as in social policy and economic development. He was also the recipient of a German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) scholarship.
