Nina Locher took part in the dual degree programme with the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she also obtained a Master of Public Administration. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Public Administration at the University of Konstanz and Istanbul Bilgi University. Prior to her graduate degree, Nina worked as a project manager at the Heinrich Böll Foundation for two years, where she focused on foreign policy and democracy projects on Turkey and Greece. Her professional experience includes working at the German Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, KfW Development Bank and journalistic writing as the author of the Heinrich Böll Foundation’s Brexit blog. Nina is interested in human rights and foreign policy in the digital age, two issues which she views using a feminist lens.
