Madeleine Prior specialised in international affairs, migration and development during her studies at the Hertie School. She has a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and French from Tufts University and also spent a year abroad at Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne and Université Paris 3 Sorbonne Nouvelle. Her professional experience includes work in both French and English, having completed internships at the European Grassroots Antiracism Movement (EGAM) and the Community of Democracies (CoD). Her work at the CoD included helping with CoD’s ministerial conference in June 2019 and helping the secretariat of the CoD during the General Assembly of the United Nations in 2019. During her studies, she also worked with Gender Associations International Consulting, a consultancy firm focused on women, peace and security, based in Berlin.
