Sanggeet Mithra Manirajah is interested in climate policy in the Global South. At the Hertie School, she deepened her expertise in renewable energy, carbon markets, and land-use policy. Outside her academic pursuits, Sanggeet served as the Deputy Chairperson of the Hertie Student Representation and led the diversity and inclusion initiative at the School. Previously, Sanggeet worked in the area of social change and education, facilitating educational programmes to inspire young change-makers in Spain, Turkey and Malaysia. She co-founded Architects of Diversity, an educational initiative to bridge identity groups in her home country. Sanggeet is a recipient of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Helmut-Schmidt scholarship and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and International Relations from Scripps College.
