Sascha Al Dahouk is a Scientific Director and Head of Division in the Department of Biological Safety at the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment in Berlin. He is an infectious disease specialist with twenty years’ experience in One Health, a multisectoral approach to public health initiatives. He has authored more than one hundred research articles and book chapters on zoonotic diseases, is a keynote speaker on international conferences and a member of the advisory board of the National Research Platform for Zoonoses responsible for strategic decisions in this field. As a professor at RWTH Aachen University, he gives lectures and edits a textbook of internal medicine. Sascha earned his Executive MPA at the Hertie School and graduated from Ulm University and Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz as a Medical Doctor and Master of Science in Epidemiology, respectively.
