Sören Borghardt specialised in climate and energy policy during his studies at the Hertie School, including a semester at the Graduate Institute Geneva. He also has a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Economics from the University of Bayreuth, with a semester at Otaru University of Commerce in Japan. Sören has two and a half years of professional experience in four countries. He worked as a part-time Policy Consultant for eclareon, analysing and providing information on German climate and renewable energy policies. He also consulted for the German development agency GIZ on improving sustainable infrastructure and low-energy housing in Thailand and Mongolia. Further, he completed internships at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Tokyo and at the German Bundestag in Berlin.
