Johanna Spitz holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Policy and Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. At the Hertie School, she studied public policy with a focus on policy analysis and spent a semester abroad at the University of Toronto. Her interests lie in anti-corruption, democracy and security-related topics, international cooperation between governments as well as governance structures within areas of limited statehood. Johanna’s professional experience includes assisting the Botswana country office of the German development agency GIZ in their internal auditing process as well as internships at Deloitte in Munich and the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs in Berlin, where she contributed to projects concerning the financial foundations of the social market economy.
