Frederic Thywissen aims to bridge communications and cultural and international affairs. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Cultural Management from Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen and Kadir Has Üniversitesi in Istanbul. Before joining the Hertie School, he worked as a Cultural manager for the Berlin-based, entrepreneur-run art project IMAGO Camera. His professional experience includes a practical semester at MediaCompany, a communications agency for political and societal issues. He also interned at the German-Italian Culture Association in Venice and in the public relations department of a private bank. At the Hertie School, he focused on the impact of digital communication on foreign policy, the development-security nexus and on conflict prevention. Frederic is the co-founder of the Hertie International Development Club.
