Juan Uribe specialised during his studies at the Hertie School in policy analysis using quantitative methods aimed to monitor and evaluate impacts. His academic profile is complemented by a Professional Degree in Economics and a Diploma in Finance at EAFIT University in Colombia. Prior joining the Hertie School he worked for seven years at Empresas Públicas de Medellín, a Colombian public utility company with a presence in Latin America that provides energy, gas, water and basic sanitation. His professional experience is related to the economic regulation of public services and the monitoring of utility companies. During his studies at the Hertie School he was a research assistant in the field of data science and public policy with Professor Slava Jankin.
