Wolney Soares Jr. specialised in health governance during his studies at the Hertie School. Prior to joining the Hertie School, he completed a Bachelor of Laws at the Federal University of Minas Gerais and spent a semester abroad at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He has worked at the Attorney General’s Office for the Federal Agencies in Brazil since 2008. Throughout his career, he has dealt with different policies, most recently legally advising the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency (Anvisa). His areas of expertise include taxation, international trade and drug regulations.
