Emily Bell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and German Studies from Wellesley College, MA. She worked in the social and economic policy division of a research consulting company in Cambridge, MA and carried out policy research and evaluation for various departments of the US government. As part of the Master of International Affairs at the Hertie School, Emily is specialising in finance and trade. She gained experience in advising international companies on political and social challenges through her internship at Joschka Fischer & Co. As a research assistant, she learned about Internet governance and its role in foreign policy. Emily is the current student representative for the MIA class of 2017 and is a head organiser in planning the 2017 Gender and Employment Conference as well as an active member of the Gender Equality and Sexuality Club, for which she planned various events.
