Jill Beytin holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of California, Davis. During her gap year between undergraduate and graduate school, she worked at radio stations in Dunedin, New Zealand, and Berkeley, California. At the Hertie School, she focused on media in the democratic process and political communication. Her professional experience spans from working at NPR and Deutsche Welle in Washington, D.C. to working as an editor at Atlantic-Community.org in Berlin. After she graduates from the Hertie School in June 2017, Jill plans on staying in Europe to continue her journalistic endeavours and research into political media in the digital age.
