Mirza Shoaib Baig is a financial market development and regulation specialist. He is a chartered financial analyst (CFA) by training with a background in banking and finance, law and public policy. His professional experience spans 2 years of corporate banking at Faysal Bank Limited, Pakistan and 8 years of capital market development and regulation at the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). Over the course of his MPP studies, Shoaib worked as an intern with the Conventions Unit of Transparency International in Berlin, conducting a civil society review of the sections of the United National Convention on Drugs and Corruption (UNCAC) pertaining to anti-money laundering, public procurement, beneficial ownership and private sector. As part of the public management track of the MPP programme, Shoaib focused on monetary policy and the financial stability of the Eurozone.
