Partial scholarships are reductions to tuition fees that range from 10% to 50%. All applicants with demonstrated financial need can apply for Hertie School partial scholarships.
Scholarships for students from all backgrounds
Financial need is calculated by subtracting your available funds from the total estimated cost of the programme, including living expenses. Applicants who can fully fund the two-year programme themselves are not eligible for partial scholarships. At the Hertie School, our mission is to foster an inclusive learning environment where merit takes priority over financial means. In assessing need, we also consider access to external funding, such as loans and income-share agreements.
The sooner you apply, the higher the chances to be awarded a partial scholarship.
How to apply
- Create an account through our application portal and select the programme you wish to apply for.
Submit your application for admission by one of the following deadlines: Early Bird (1 December), or Priority Deadlines (non-EU/EEA 15 January; EU/EEA 15 February). We recommend you apply as early as possible.
- Upon receiving an admission offer, you will be invited to access the Funding Application. You will have two weeks to apply for full and partial scholarships. You can familiriaze yourself with the Funding Application and get further insights into its contents here.
Please keep in mind that only complete applications will be evaluated. It is the applicant's responsibility to make sure they submit all required documents and that the submitted documents are valid.
You will not be considered for a partial scholarship if you do not complete and submit the funding application before the deadline.
You may apply for both full and partial scholarships at the same time within a single Funding Application.
