Christoph Abels is a PhD researcher at the Hertie School. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Hagen and a Master of Public Policy from the Hertie School. His professional experience ranges from positions at various Berlin start-ups to consultancy work, having worked at Rocket Internet, Ketchum Pleon and Hering Schuppener. He is currently employed as a Research Associate at the Hertie School and leads the digitalisation and cybersecurity research programme for Polis180, a Berlin-based think tank. In his doctoral thesis, he is investigating the fake news phenomenon.
