Raúl Carbajosa Niehoff is a law graduate from Heidelberg University, where he completed his German First State Examination. He has qualifications in American law and gained experience as a legal officer at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). During his studies at the Hertie School and the American University in Washington DC, he focused on foreign and security policy. He was a student representative and worked at the Munich Security Conference’s Office of Ambassador Wolfgang Ischinger before moving to the German Federal Ministry of Defense, first as an assistant to a parliamentary state secretary and then as a desk officer in the policy department, where he was responsible for three Central and Eastern European countries. Pursuing a career at the interface between law and politics, Raúl will be serving as a legal clerk at the Kammergericht, Berlin's higher regional court, beginning in August 2021.
