Sara Daub is a PhD researcher, affiliated with the Centre for International Security. Her main research interests include external sponsorship of non-state actors, conflict dynamics, and foreign aid. In her dissertation project, she analyses causes and consequences of external diaspora sponsorship. Sara studied Political Science, Economics and International Studies at the University of Göttingen and Roskilde University. She holds a Master of Arts in Development Studies, specialized in Economics, from the University of Passau. In addition, Sara interned for the Advisory Program Governance and the African Union Office in the area of peace and security of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
