Juan Díaz-Prinz is a mediator, trainer and facilitator working on political, economic and social integration. He teachs international mediation and strategic negotiations at several European universities with an interactive experiential learning approach. Over the last 15 years, he has dedicated his work to peacebuilding in regions, such as South Eastern Europe, South Asia, and North Africa. In 2005 he co-founded the CSSP: Center for Integrative Mediation and served as its Director and Chairperson from January 2005 to May 2012. In this capacity, he oversaw the development of the interactive problem-solving methodology and developed the use of interest-based negotiations in workshops with political leaders in divided communities. He also worked on developing the concept of multitrack peace mediation in post-conflict areas. In the last couple of years, he had the honor of accompanying the founding of the European Institute of Peace as the Lead at the European Forum for International Mediation and Dialogue. In this capacity, he has been advising international actors and working on developing a political party dialogue platform in Egypt. The Dialogue in Egypt is in cooperation with elbarlament, a young NGOs working on promoting democracy in countries in transition.
