Elena Bascone specialised in foreign policy, finance and trade during her studies at the Hertie School and her exchange semester at the Graduate Institute for International and Development Studies in Geneva. Prior to joining the Hertie School she graduated with honours, obtaining a Bachelors of Arts in Political Sciences, International Relations and Human Rights from the Università degli Studi di Padova with a semester abroad at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Her interests include maths and statistics. She has interned at the Council of Europe and took part in several simulations of politics both in the USA and Europe and acted as the Public Relations Manager of the Italian branch of Bringing Europeans Together Association (BETA), a non-profit association that organises these simulations.
