Sandra Esser holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Sussex, where she specialised in environmental politics, international development and political economy. She studied public policy at the Hertie School, focusing on quantitative methods. Professionally, she is most interested in the intersection of climate policy and development, leading her to pursue internships at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the environmental think-tank E3G and a small NGO focussed on environmental protection and permaculture in Indonesia. Sandra is a member of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes.
