Felix Garten is a PhD candidate at the Berlin Graduate School for Global and Transregional Studies. He studies economic implications of the rise of financial technology platforms in Europe and Asia. Felix is affiliated with the Center of Digital Governance at the Hertie School and he works as a Research Associate for Prof. Daniela Stockmann and Prof. Mark Hallerberg. Previously, he worked at the German Council on Foreign Relations, the German Bundestag’s Committee on Foreign Affairs and was part of the Policy Planning Staff at the German Federal Foreign Office. Felix holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Studies from Freie Universität Berlin and a Master of International Affairs from the Hertie School.
