Magali Gravier is Associate Professor at the Copenhagen Business School. She obtained her PhD in Political Science from the Sorbonne University. Previously she worked at the Centre Marc Bloch (Berlin), the European University Institute (Florence) and the University of Salzburg. She was the French Prize winner of the French-German Parliamentary Prize (2009) for her book "Good Bye Honecker!". Her current research focuses on the European Union. In particular, she is studying the Commission's staffing policies from the point of view of bureaucratic representation; the European integration process using a historical comparison with pre-modern European empires; and multicultural aspects of the European integration project (multilingualism policy, the role and conditions of possibility of humour in the European Parliament).
