Maximilian Kupi is a PhD researcher at the Centre for Digital Governance. He is interested in the digital transformation of the public sector and the application of agile methods in public administration. As research associate to Prof. Gerhard Hammerschmid he works on projects within the CIVICA network. During his Master of Public Policy at the Hertie School, Berlin, and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Singapore, he specialised in public sector innovation as well as web scraping and natural language processing. Prior to joining the Hertie School, he worked for three years as innovation consultant and agile and human-centred design coach. Maximilian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Economics from the University of Bayreuth.
