Moana Jean Packo is a Research Associate to Prof. Gerhard Hammerschmid and supports work related to the TROPICO project. She also acts as Editor of the Centre for Digital Governance blog. Over the last five years, she has worked as a research assistant on various projects in social and political science and specializes in qualitative content analysis methods. She holds an MA in Global Studies from Humboldt University of Berlin and a BA in History from the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada. Prior to her MA studies, she worked for two years in English teaching and curriculum development for the US Peace Corps in Indonesia and three years as a writing tutor for international students, immigrants and refugees in Seattle. She holds certifications in Teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL).
