Salvador Parrado has been teaching public management since 2009 at the Hertie School of Governance. He works in the political science department at the Spanish Distance Learning University (UNED) in Madrid. He has written several reports for international organisations such as CEMR, OECD, SIGMA, UNDP, World Bank, IBD and various governments such as Brazil, Chile, Czech Republic, France, Mexico, Norway, and Spain on topics that include performance management, measuring open government and human capital, and customer-oriented policies, among others. Since 2015, he has taken part in the evaluation of the civil service and service delivery policies of the accession countries for the European Commission. He is the Director of Governance International and the Associate Editor of Public Administration. He is currently researching performance management and public values in the health sector.
