Prior to his graduate studies, he earned a Bachelor of Science in International Politics and Government at Bocconi University, with an exchange semester at the University of Auckland. During his professional leave of absence, Riccardo worked as a Research Trainee in the field of employment at Eurofound and as an Intern responsible for open government in the Department of Public Administration in the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers. With peers of the Hertie School, Riccardo founded the futurEU Initiative to foster student engagement on debating the EU of tomorrow and he organised the futurEU Competition, open to all European University of Social Sciences (CIVICA) students and PhD researchers.
