Claudia Zwar is a Research Associate at the Hertie School Centre for Sustainability and a candidate for the Hertie School Doctoral Programme in Governance. Her research focuses on the politics of climate change in comparative perspective, and in particular, what factors in the domestic political economy drive more ambitious climate policy action. Claudia is also a part of the ARIADNE research programme, which provides evidence-based advice to the German government on its approach to decarbonisation. She has previously held positions at Adelphi, a climate change think tank, at the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies, and spent several years as a management consultant at Nous Group, in London. She holds a Master of Public Policy with distinction from the Hertie School and a First Class degree in History and English from the University of Oxford.
