Thanks to a full scholarship, I could finish my studies at the Hertie School in 2014. I especially liked being confronted with the diverse experiences of students from all over the world - one is constantly exposed to different ways of viewing things. With my new degree, I hope to contribute to improving the lives of the underprivileged in society.

Dennis Mwaura | Kenya

The Master’s degree at the Hertie School will help me develop my career in the field of cultural policy. This has only been possible through financial assistance in the form of a partial scholarship. I am very grateful for this support, as it has helped me to concentrate more fully on my studies.

Júlia Gutiérrez Peris | Spain

In Afghanistan, a big sector of society is excluded from political decision-making processes. This affects women in particular, especially those in rural areas. The reason for this is the poor representation of competent women in public decision-making positions. I believe that the MPP will help me to take on a key role in the promotion of women in future. My scholarship has helped me to focus on this goal.
