About the festival
The Data4Good Festival is centered on data challenges for the common good bringing together bachelors students from across Europe, fostering creativity, collaboration, and innovative solutions to address pressing societal issues using data-driven approaches.
The festival will host a weekend of fun, learning and innovation while letting students enjoy great moments in Berlin. If you fancy an opportunity to enjoy free food, exciting workshops and the chance to gain prizes and meet other incredible students from peer institutions, don’t hesitate to apply.
Our festival highlights include:
-
Hackathon for the Common Good: You will participate in a hackathon aimed at addressing real-world challenges using data-driven solutions. This hands-on experience will focus on enhancing your technical skills by working on real-world datasets. You can win cash prizes, swag bags, access to premium data science learning resources and other awards;
-
Data science workshops: professors, data experts and practitioners in the field will conduct specialized workshops throughout the festival to provide insights into data science workflow and the latest trends, best practices and technologies;
-
Social events and networking opportunities: The festival will provide a platform for you to connect with like-minded peers, industry professionals, and mentors with social activities to make lasting connections.
How can you apply?
You can apply on your own, but we recommend applying as a team of 3-5 people. There will be a lot of work to be done and having a team to support, work and learn together with you will make this experience a lot more fun! If you don't form a team, we will match you with other candidates based on your experience and skillsets. If necessary, we will host a team formation event at the beginning of the event so there's no need to compete alone (unless you want to go solo!)
Applications for the Festival are now closed.
If you are selected, we will reach out via email with more details about the event's logistics. Your travel and accommodation in Berlin will be covered up to 150 euros if you live in Germany and up to 250 euros if you live outside of Germany (within Europe).
