Mitali Agrawal is a research associate working on the project ‘Refugees are Migrants: Refugee Mobility, Recognition and Rights’. She has a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from the National Law University – Jodhpur in India. Interested in evidence-based policy research, she worked as a Research Associate for Pratham Education Foundation, designing and implementing large-scale surveys. During this time, she conducted extensive fieldwork and research on topics like school education, maternal health, disability and early childhood education. At the Hertie School, she pursued the policy analysis track, focussing on statistical methods and data analysis. Her experience in interdisciplinary research and her interest in human rights inspired her master’s thesis, where she studies the role of UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency in global refugee governance.
