Zhihao Zhong (he/they) studied public policy at the Hertie School, specialising in educational policymaking, internet and social media platforms, as well as inequalities and inequity, adopting a quantitative method. During his Professional Year, Zhihao obtained hands-on experience with Democracy Reporting International and United National Human Rights (OHCHR), as well as through his start-up initiative 月经时刻 (Menstrual Period China). For his master's thesis, Zhihao used longitudinal data to study the determinants of asylum-seeking children's educational and occupational aspirations in Germany. Before coming to Berlin, Zhihao finished a two-year teaching stint with Teach for China in a village school in 2019 and received his Bachelor of Arts in International Journalism from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2017.
